Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

It’s a big day in Seussville, with today marking Dr. Seuss’s 108^th birthday and the release of the major motion picture The Lorax.

This is the Lorax. Look at his moustache.

It’s incredible.

According to the official website, The Lorax is an “acerbic yet charming character that fights to protect his world.” But really, does he have to fight that hard? That moustache would make Chuck Norris’s moustache think twice before littering.

“The animated adventure follows the journey of a 12-year-old as he searches for a real Truffula Tree, the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To get it he must find the story of the Lorax…”

The story of the Lorax? A tree? If he really wants to get the girl, what he needs is a bushy upper lip like the Lorax.

They say the moral of The Lorax is environmental responsibility, but we here at TFMS know the real message: If you’ve got it, flaunt it. If you don’t, get it.

Exciting news from the Arts & Culture desk at The Fake Moustache Society. . .

The first-ever international moustache film festival will premiere at the fifth-annual Stache Pag. You will want to be in Portland, Maine on March 30 for a full line-up of short films centered around moustaches, but you will not want to face Nick Callanan, event organizer, empty-lipped.

Figure Skating Fake Moustache News

The 2012 European Figure Skating Championship was held this week.  Hundreds of elite skaters competed in the beautiful city of Sheffield, England.  Of special note was the Estonia pair of Irina Shtork and Taavi Rand, who were captured in a moment of fake moustache splendor.  

Although the pair did not place on the medal stand, they have earned gold in our hearts.  This photo just goes to show what we at TFMS have always known:  fake moustaches on women are hot.

Superbowl Fo-Stache Style

The Fake Moustache Society takes its position of power and superiority seriously.  Thus, we feel it only fair to remain neutral on picking a Superbowl victory between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots.

That being said, we must applaud Giants quarterback, Eli Manning, for his stylish choice in artificial moustaches.  See more of him and his brother, Peyton, in the DIRECTTV trailer for season one of Football Cops.

The Fake Moustache Society was saddened to learn that a Utah woman has used an artifical moustache to rob her neighbors. We at TFMS denounce this woman and her actions. All fake moustaches should be used for good and not evil.
